GOMBAK - After recieving a supposed message from "beyond the grave", controversial celebrity Azwan Ali has decided to withdraw his candidacy for the Gombak parliamentary seat in the 15th General Election.

He said he received a message from his late mother who he addressed as 'Mak Tom' saying that he should not be contesting in the election.

The message, he said, was delivered by the mother through his dream.

"I am grateful that God is giving me the early sign to withdraw from the election.

"I dreamt of my late mother 'Mak Tom', she told me not to do it," he told reporters when met at the compund of SMK Sungai Pusu here, today.

Azwan was seen to be emotionally distraught as he recounted the whispers of his mother from beyond the grave.

He also added that, he will now be supporting Pakatan Harapan (PH) but will only join the party once the party's president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim become the 10th Prime Minister.
