SHAH ALAM – “I will be bothered if Anwar (Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim) becomes the Prime Minister.”

Those words were uttered by Shah Alam parliamentary candidate representing Perikatan Nasional (PN), Dr Afif Bahardin when asked if he was bothered by PKR’s speech during the announcement of their candidacy.

It was reported that Anwar, who is also the PKR president had called out PKR traitors during a Mega Keadilan roadshow in September.

Dr Afif told the media what was important for him at the moment was to cater to the needs of the people in Shah Alam and tackle the issues in the constituency.

“Previously, PKR said not to make personal attacks, but now they are making personal attacks.

“There were attacks made towards me too but this is not the kind politics that I wanted.

“When I make the stand that this is not the way we do politics, they fired me. Hence, let the people judge as my conviction is clear for the people and God,” he said.

He then shared about the Sheraton Move back in 2020 where he claimed that he had never jumped ship, but instead he was sacked by the previous party for having an opinion.
