SHAH ALAM - Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate for Kota Raja Parliament Mohamad Sabu denies a video which went viral alleging that he had cursed a woman in front of Dewan MBSA Kemuning Utama during the nomination process on Saturday morning.

Mohamad who is also Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) president said the incident happened when he was passing by a group of Barisan Nasional (BN) supporters.

"I walked straight (until) I reached the place where PH supporters gathered. After about 15 minutes, I went back because the Election Commission (EC) and the police wanted to meet the candidates.

"Once again I passed by the area (BN supporters) and I was insulted by their supporters, I replied only with one thing which was "Najib duk dalam jel" (Najib sits in jail)," he said in his response to the viral video.

He also said the allegation that he insulted a woman was untrue as he only heard the voices of men when the incident occurred.

"I did not mention (and) address anyone. Defamation is normal, they say I insulted a woman, the one I heard insulting me earlier was a man," he said.

Earlier, an eight-second video showing Mohamad shouting something at a group of BN supporters went viral.

In the video, Mohamad was seen surrounded by police officers.
