GOMBAK - Selangor Menteri Besar Chief Minister Datuk Seri Amirudin and his former colleague Datuk Seri Azmin Ali were seen greeting and hugging each other today while waiting for the nomination doors to open this morning at SMK Sungai Pusu Hall.

Azmin and Amirudin shared a close relationship while the former was still in PKR but both were said to have gone separate ways after Sheraton Move.

"I stayed on with PH because our policy is clear to move forward towards prosperity and the well-being of Malaysians.

"Compared to Azmin's view, his direction has led to an unstable government," he said after the nomination process at SMK Sungai Pusu Gombak on Saturday.

Gombak will witness a five-cornered fight Azmin, the incumbent of Gombak, Amirudin (PH), Datuk Dr Aziz Jamaludin Mhd Tahir (Pejuang), Ir Zulkifli Ahmad (Independent) and Datuk Megat Zulkarnain Omardin (BN).

Amirudin said the multi corner clash was not easy one but they will be able to defend the PKR seat based on the mood, sentiment and the support of the people.

He said that he will use his abilities as the menteri besar to develop Gombak.

"We will make sure all strategies are utilised and the campaign can run in a good and orderly atmosphere.

"Our rivals are also experienced but I believe in the voice of the people of Gombak which can clearly bring victory but this cannot be taken lightly," he said.
