GE15: Not easy to fill Annuar’s shoes, Kelantan Puteri Umno says

KOTA BHARU - Kelantan Puteri Umno Chief Marzuani Ardila Arifin admits it is not easy for her to carry her duties as a BN candidate in the Ketereh seat previously held by prominent figure Tan Sri Annuar Musa.

Marzuani said the pressure was felt when she knew she was chosen from the leadership to contest in Ketereh.

“To a certain extent, the pressure was felt because I was placed in a seat of a great figure like Annuar, especially with several parties still hasn’t accepted the fact.

“I feel blessed because I gained the strong support and guidance from him who was close with the Ketereh Parliament voters,” she said when met by reporters at the handover ceremony additional aid to storm victims in Kampung Tegayong, here, on Sunday.

Marzuani said her life flipped 360 degrees as her daily routine changed drastically upon candidacy nomination.

She said other to manage the machinery during the campaigning period, she had to approach the voters in the area.

However, her previous experience leading the Umno Puteri movement helped her adapt to the new ‘world’.

“I hope the voters in the Ketereh area give their trust to me and continue to ensure BN remains victorious in the Ketereh Parliamentary seat,” she said.

The Ketereh Parliament was a hot seat previously when its incumbent, Annuar, was not chosen as BN candidate to contest in the 15th General Election (GE15), but instead was replaced by Marzuani.
