PUTRAJAYA - The MyPublic flood info application and the public flood info portal are experiencing disruptions, making it difficult to monitor flood forecasting and warning.

Environment and Water Ministry secretary-general Datuk Seri Zaini Ujang said the disruption was inevitable caused by an unforeseen incident related to the cooling system at the Enstek Public Sector Data Centre (PDSA) on Tuesday.

"This incident has caused operational disruption to all servers, hardwares, and agency applications located at PDSA Enstek," he said in a statement on Wednesday.

He said based on the advice of the Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU), the Irrigation and Drainage Department (JPS) has taken action by shutting down the server until the cooling system was being repaired to allow operations to return to normal.

"Thus, the monitoring of flood forecasting and warning could not be carried out optimally at the moment.

"The date and time of the interruption to end could not be confirmed and will be notified from time to time," he said.
