Amirudin confident in winning Gombak parliamentary seat 

GOMBAK - Selangor Menteri Besar Amiruddin Shari said he is confident in winning the seat in Gombak due to the overwhelming support of Pakatan Harapan (PH) supporters in the area

He said that the coalition had garnered support from the people including the Chinese and Indian.

"Everyone has their own strengths but I am confident with the overwhelming support from people, despite the races.

"We believe that we have the advantage for PH to win the Gombak parliamentary seat," he told reporters when met at the Senior Citizen Centre as part of his campaign programme, here, tonight.

Commenting further, he admitted that his opponent, Bersatu Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali had bigger networking in the area due to being incumbent for three terms.

However, Amiruddin also said that he refused to look past the role of Barisan Nasional candidate Datuk Megat Zulkarnain Omardin as he was a veteran politician in Gombak.

"It is too early to estimate the strength of everyone.

"Same goes to me, (so) the best is to work hard and make sure that we can get the majority on Nov 19," he said.
