GOMBAK - Enthusiasm of supporters of all political parties are evidently seen as the 15th General Election (GE15) approaches.

Pakatan Harapan (PH) supporters were seen to be actively showing support for the candidate in their respective parliamentary constituency by attending campaigns and placing hundreds of flags at the side of the roads.

A PH supporter known as May Leong said Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari did a great job as the Selangor Menteri Besar and that he will be getting the full support from the people in the area.

However, when asked about the state's former Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, the 70-year old woman said she has lost her respect towards the latter when he left PKR and joined Perikatan Nasional (PN).

"I don't think Azmin is Amirudin's strongest supporter.

"When he became the frog and jumped to PN, I no longer have respect for him. I used to support him before, I liked him," she told Sinar Daily.

Commenting further, she said she was hoping for a better government that fights for the rights of all races as well as the poor.

This, she said was why it was important for the people to go out and vote during the polling day on Nov 19.

For Chiang Kwang Long, 62, he said PH will surely win the Gombak parliamentary seat as the party has provided good services for the people.

When asked whether Amirudin was able to win the seat, he said Amiruddin has obtained over 20 per cent of the Chinese votes from the people in the area.

"Amirudin will definitely win," he said.

He added that the reason why he supported PH was because the coalition was honest and had always provided assistance for those in need regardless of any race.

"PH is unlike Barisan Nasional (BN), always hopping and stealing.

"Our economy is now dropping as well as our currency and we are ranked 62 due to corruption," he said referring to Malaysia dropping five spots to rank 62 in the global rankings of Transparency International Malaysia’s (TI-M) Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) 2021.
