SHAH ALAM - Sungai Buloh Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate Khairy Jamaluddin claims that former prime minister, Datuk Seri Najib still harbours angry feelings towards him.

Khairy said this was because he had insisted for the former BN chairman to step down as Umno president.

He said this in response to a question from a Sungai Buloh local who asked why he had not raised any objections over all the corruption allegations facing Datuk Seri Najib sooner rather than speaking about them now.

"I saw him many times and told him that this (1MDB) is a problem for us. If you don’t want to take responsibility, take Jho Low and let him pay for us "I had told him to resign as president of Umno when he lost in GE14," Khairy said during his campaign trail.

Even then he said people were still ardently supporting Datuk Seri Najib and chanting 'Bossku." However he stressed that he still regrets not speaking up more and that people make mistakes in their careers.

"I will not make the same mistake again. Never again. I will speak up for the right thing," he said.
