SHAH ALAM – Caretaker Senior Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein calls for members of the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) who will be voting early on Nov 15 to choose candidates and parties that have a good track record and achievements.

In a special announcement posted on his social media accounts, the Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate for the Sembrong parliamentary seat in the 15th General Election (GE15) reminded the nation’s army as well as their family members of the importance of early voting.

“Come out together (to vote) as this is your right and responsibility to ensure the country’s stability and prosperity.

“Every single vote matters to determine the ruling government for the next five years to come. Make a wise choice - choose candidates and parties that have a good track record as well as achievements,” he said.

On the 10th day of his campaign, he reflected on the moment he entered the office as the Defence Minister.

“It reminds me of when I was first appointed as Defence Minister. I visited lots of camps and bases - east, west, north, south, Sabah and Sarawak... shaded in green, blue and grey... each one of them is still fresh on my mind, filled with the family spirit of the MAF.

“I’d like to wish happy voting to members of MAF and to their family members,” he said.

Hishammuddin also advised the group of early voters to behave themselves during the polls.
