KUALA LUMPUR - Lifting up nation's economy and empowering the government’s Social Welfare Department are among the Pakatan Harapan’s (PH) manifesto.

PH Kepong candidate Lim Lip Eng (DAP) highlighted a number of PH’s manifesto that caters to the needs of the people in Malaysia.

"We want to uplift the economy, solve the living cost issues and focus on fresh graduates who faces difficulty in finding jobs.

"We also want to help elderly people. Malaysia is moving towards ageing nation, to combat that, we want to increase the welfare department," he said at a DAP’s dinner campaign here in Taman Sri Sentosa.

More than a 100 people attended the event that also presented PH's Petaling candidate Lee Chean Chung, PH's Cheras candidate Tan Kok Wai and PH's Lembah Pantai candidate Fahmi Fadzil.

Lim, who by profession is a lawyer, said Barisan Nasional (BN) leaders and other political parties were only contesting for the position.

"Khairy (Jamaluddin, BN candidate) is contesting in Sungai Buloh urging people to vote for him because he wants to become a prime minister.

"Some other candidates from different political parties also aims to win in order to become a minister.

"This clearly shows that they are 'gila kuasa' (power crazy),” he said.

Meanwhile, PH Seputeh candidate Teresa Kok, who is also from DAP, said PH's chairman Datuk Seri Anwar was the more winnable candidate in GE15.

"Survey shows that people are rooting for PH, this also shows that Anwar Ibrahim is the best PM candidate with highest supporters," she said.

Teresa also said that she was amazed to see supporters from rural areas in Sabah.

"Recently I visited some rural areas in Sabah and found more red flags than other political flag colours in Malaysia, I was amazed with their support," she said.
