GE15: I will be reappointed as Health Minister if I win Sungai Buloh

SUNGAI BULOH - Khairy Jamaluddin has claimed that he will be reappointed as Health Minister if he and Barisan Nasional (BN) win this Saturday national polls.

“Once I win in Sungai Buloh, next week, Ismail Sabri (caretaker Prime Minister) will reappoint me as Health Minister.

“And to the people of Sungai Buloh, I intend to form a team that will be bringing healthcare services right up to the doorsteps of those who are unable to go to the hospital.

“I want to strengthen the healthcare in Sungai Buloh,” said Khairy at what he claimed to be his final hustings with the Sungai Buloh voters, last night.

Khairy is up against a six-corner bout with his fiercest contender being PH’s Ramanan Ramakrishnan given how PKR – a component party in PH – has been retaining the seat since the previous three general elections.

However, he remarked of sensing a looming “wind of change” here in Sungai Buloh.

“For three terms, nothing was done. For three terms, complaints were ignored. Shah Alam has progressed. Subang Jaya has progressed. Petaling Jaya has progressed. But Sungai Buloh has been side-lined.

“This Saturday, the people in Sungai Buloh needs to send a signal. That no one should take Sungai Buloh for granted. And if you choose me, just call me KJ, there is no need for formalities because I work for you,” said the former Rembau MP.

At the hustings, Khairy, who is popularly known as KJ, also assured that should he becomes Sungai Buloh MP and the Health Minister, he will not interfere with any pending court cases involving any politicians.

“I will guarantee good governance. If there’s corruption or abuse of power, I will carry the voices of the people in Sungai Buloh and fight against it.

“If BN wins the election this Saturday, there will be no interference in the judiciary. If a case has already started, its trial will proceed. We must be fair to everyone,” Khairy remarked.
