Frim showcases partnership achievements at Frim Commercialisation Day 2022

KUALA LUMPUR - The Forest Research Institute of Malaysia (Frim) showcases achievements from its commercialisation efforts in forest-related economic development on the Frim Commercialisation Day 2022 (HFK 2022) at the Frim Auditorium in Kepong yesterday.

Frim said in a statement today that HKF 2022 was in line with the agency’s efforts with industries and stakeholders to mainstream product commercialisation, technology packages, expertises and technical services and accreditation to empower local industries.

The programme is jointly organised with Frim Incorporated Sdn Bhd (Frim Inc) and was attended by over 100 company representatives from the herbs, biotechnology and forest plantation industries, environmentally friendly biomass as well as forest resourses-based industries that cooperate with FRIM.

"At the event, Frim also held a commercial document exchange ceremony with Nature Profusion Sdn Bhd, Koperasi Peserta-Peserta Rancangan Felcra Gugusan Bayai Jempol Berhad, Frim Inc and International Agroforest Resources Sdn Bhd,” the statement read.

Frim also handed over the Product Certification Module for Environmentally-Friendly Paper Printing developed by its experts to Next Green Global Berhad.

The module was developed taking into consideration the need for the eco-label ISO 14024: 2018 Environmental Labels and Declarations - Type I Environmental Labelling - Principles and Procedures.

"HKF 2022 also gathered various main implementor agencies that are directly involved in driving innovation commercialisation and local technology for the sustainable development of forest and natural resource-based industries.

"Therefore, through organised planning and action plans, FRIM will ensure investment in R&D will bear returns to generate the country’s economy in the long term,” the statement read. - BERNAMA
