KOTA DAMANSARA - There were mixed reactions to the voting process for senior citizens and disabled (station 1) and Covid-19 positive voters at the Sekolah Kebangsaan Seksyen 9 here today, especially with large crowds turning up to cast their votes early.

Mohammad Ibrahim Chin Abdullah, 73, said the station was swamped with senior citizens forming a long queue, which meant he had to go through a long and strenuous wait to cast his vote.

“I had to line up further away and being 73, it was tough. I am disappointed that the process station one was very slow. I saw another person, who was over 90, having to wait even longer and had to let him cut the line and move in front of me. They need to improve the system and make it smoother,” he said.

Leng Hua Li, who went through the process at station six for Covid-19 positive patients, had mixed feelings about the whole process.

“I think there should be a different centre for Covid-19 positive voters. The voting went smoothly even though there was a lot of people here,” she said. "It was apparent that certain queues were faster and some that were heavily crowded moved slower."
