SHAH ALAM - Polling centres nationwide closed at 6pm on Saturday.

As of 4pm, the Election Commision (EC) says 70 per cent of voters have casted their votes.

OFFICIAL:

- Muhyiddin Yassin is GPS' choice as Prime Minister candidate.

- GPS agrees to work with BN, PN and GRS to form federal government.

- PH chairman Anwar Ibrahim claims that the party now has a majority to form a government. He said PN could not claim that they could form a government because PH has crossed the 112 numbers.

- PH's Amirudin Shari wins Gombak seat defeating incumbent PN's Azmin Ali.

- PN chairman Muhyiddin Yassin thanks voters for supporting PN. In a press conference, he said PN has enough seats to form a government. He said he will also discuss with leaders from Sabah and Sarawak to form a government. Muhyiddin said PN has received a letter from Istana Negara and discussions will be held later today and the matter will be finalised by later in the evening. He said PN will comply to what has been directed by the palace. At the end of the press conference, he clearly affirmed that PN will not work with PH. -GRS says it will work with GPS to form a borneo bloc and to work with the federal government. According to Borneo Post, Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said he had spoken to Sarawak premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Abang Openg and so far, both agreed to support a federal government that could bring stability to the nation and the borneo states. Hajiji is the GRS and Sabah Bersatu chairman.

- PN's Hamzah Zainuddin wins in Larut.

- PH's Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail wins Bandar Tun Razak seat.

- PN wins 14 out of 15 Perlis state seats. This is the first time that BN loses its grip on Perlis after the state had its first election nearly seven decades ago in 1955.

- It looks like Malaysia is heading towards a hung Parliament which means that no political parties could single-handedly form a government.To form a government, a party needs a simple majority of 112. However, there is no party with such majority.

According to the EC results, PH currently won 67 seats, PN (75), BN (29), GPS (32), GPS (6), Warisan (3), Independent (2), Muda (1), PBM (1).

- PH's Former human resources minister M. Kulasegaran retains Ipoh Barat seat.

- BN's caretaker Human Resources Minister M. Saravanan wins in Tapah. He won by 5,064 majority.

- Amanah president Mohamad Sabu retains Kota Raja parliamentary seat, Bernama reports.

- Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said BN is committed to ensure good relationship between states in the Peninsula with Sabah and Sarawak. He said BN will also focus on how to strengthen its party after poor performance in GE15. "We are ready to be the bridge between these two," he said.

- PH's Nurul Izzah Anwar loses Permatang Pauh to PN's Muhammad Fawwaz Mat Jan.

- Pejuang president Mukhriz Mahathir loses his Jerlun seat.

- PH's S. Kesavan defeats MIC president S. A. Vigneswaran in Sungai Siput, Bernama reports.

- PH's Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad retains Setiawangsa seat.

- Caretaker Ismail Sabri Yaakob has left Umno headquarters at 1.15am. This comes as BN is expected to lose in the polls.

- Pas wins Rantau Panjang with 37,759 votes. The seat goes to Siti Zailah Mohd Yusoff.

- PH's Azli Yusoff wins in Shah Alam with 10,369 votes.

- Umno deputy president Mohamad Hasan or known as Tok Mat wins in Rembau.

- Election Commission chairman Tan Sri Ghani Salleh says as of 12.15am, they have counted 112 parliamentary out of 220 seats. He said Pakatan Harapan has secured 28 seats while Perikatan Nasional has secured 17 seats. He further said Pas has secured 18 seats, Gabungan Parti Sabah won 20 seats.

- BN's Bung Mokhtar Radin wins Kinabatangan.

- BN's Khairy Jamaluddin loses in Sungai Buloh.

- Social media users are questioning whether Malaysia will become a Taliban state. Described Hadi Awang as a Taliban version of US president Donald Trump.

- Supporters continue to cheer for PN president Muhyiddin Yassin and Pas president Hadi Awang.

- PH president Anwar Ibrahim wins Tambun with a majority of 5,328. He won by 32,026 votes.

- Pas wins Umno's stronghold in Jeli.

- PN's Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal wins Machang under Pas ticket.

- BN's Johari Abdul Ghani wins Titiwangsa.

- PBM's Zuraida Kamaruddin loses Ampang to PH's Rodziah Ismail. Rodziah wins with a majority of almost 30,000 votes. Incumbent Zuraida only manages to secure 4,589 votes.

- Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor loses Putrajaya to Radzi Jidin. Radzi wins by 2,310 votes.

- PH's Saifuddin Nasution loses in Kulim - Bandar Baharu to PN's Roslan Aziz.

- Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad loses Langkawi. Langkawi goes to PN's Suhaimi Abdullah with a majority of 13,518. Incumbent Dr Mahathir only secured 4,566.

- Shahidan Kassim wins Arau seat.

- PH retains Bagan, Jelutong, Kota Melaka and Tebrau.

- BN's Nur Jazlan Mohamed loses again in to PH's Salahuddin Ayub. He wins with a majority of 33,174.

- Former Pas MP Khairuddin Takiri loses at Kuala Nerus. He stood on BN's ticket in GE14. The seat went to Alias Razak who won with a majority of 29, 765.

- PH's Liew Chin Tong wins in Iskandar Puteri with a string majority of 60, 036.

- Tengku Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz loses in Kuala Selangor to incumbent Dzulkefly Ahmad. He wins with a majority of 1,002 votes.

- Pas wins Hulu Terengganu with a majority of 15,734. The seat goes to Rosol Wahid.

- Hadi Awang wins Marang with 73,115 votes.

- Pas wins Ketereh.

- PH's Rafizi Ramli wins in Pandan with a majority 48, 296.

- PH's Rosnah Aluai loses in Tangga Batu to PN's Bakri Jamaluddin.

- PN's Ronald Kiandee retains Beluran with a slim majority of 1,594 votes.

- PH retains Johor Bharu with Akmal Nasir winning with a majority of 16, 041 votes.

- PH retains Ledang with a majority of 9,769 votes. Syed Ibrahim Syed Noh won with a majority of 33, 650 votes against five candidates.

- Takiyuddin Hassan retains Kota Bharu with a majority of 22,613.

- BN's Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah loses in Gua Musang to Pas with a slim majority of 163 votes.

- PH takes Bukit Bintang again. Old-timer Fong Kui Lun wins with massive majority of almost 40,000 votes.

- Muda's Lim Wei Jiet loses in Tanjung Piai. The seat goes to BN's Wee Jeck Sing who won with a majority of 3,630.

- Umno leader Hishammuddin Hussein wins Sembrong with a solid majority of 10,880.

- Umno veteran Mahdzir Khalid loses to newcomer Nurul Amin from PN. He wins with a majority of 10,959.

- Wee Ka Siong wins Ayer Hitam with a majority of 2,963.

- Muda’s Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman wins Muar with slim majority.

- PH’s Vivian Wong wins Sandakan.

- BN’s Ahmad Maslan wins Pontian with majority of 5,758 votes.

- BN wins Tampin with 1,276 majority. Candidate Mohd Isam Isa secures 23, 283 votes against PH's Faiz Fadzil.

- Pas wins Pasir Puteh with a majority of 29,109 votes. Candidate Nik Zawawi secured 52, 937 votes.

- Muhyiddin Yassin wins Pagoh with majority of 10,007 votes. He secured 24, 986 votes against BN's Razali Ibrahim (14, 426) and PH's Iskandar Shah Abdul Rahman (14, 979).

- PH's Christina Lew loses Tawau to GRS. Lo Su Fui wins with a majority of 3,800 votes.

- GPS' Willie Mongin wins Puncak Borneo with a strong majority of 13,338 votes.

- GPS wins Lubok Antu. Roy Angau Anak Gingkoi wins with slim majority of 100 votes.

- Larry Sng wins first seat for PBM in Julau. He secures 1,340 votes.

- PH wins Stampin. Chieng Jen wins with a majority of 7,158 votes.

- PH’s Zaliha Mustafa wins Sekijang seat with a majority of 1,734 votes.

- PN wins Labuan. Dr Suhaili Abdul Rahman won with a slim majority of 708 votes against five candidates.

- BN’s Azlina Othman Said wins Pengerang seat with a majority of 5,010. She secured 21,738 votes against PN’s and PH’s candidates.

- GPS wins Tanjong Manis seat. The seat is won by Yusoh Abd Wahab.

- BN wins Beaufort. Siti Aminah Aching wins with a majority of 2,518 votes against five other candidates.

- GPS wins Lawas seat. Henry Sum Agong wins the seat with a majority of 5,677 votes

- GPS wins Betong with a majority of 11,302 votes. The seat is won by Dr Richard Rapu.

- GPS wins Batang Sadong seat with a majority of 14,893 votes. The seat is won by Rodiyah Sapiee.

- Sarawak govervnor Abdul Taib Mahmud's daughter Hanifah wins Mukah seat with a majority of 15,686 votes against PH's Abdul Jalil.

- GPS wins Igan seat with a majority of 14,662. The seat is won by Ahmad Johnie Zawawi against PH's Hud Hendry (1,162 votes). Hud loses his deposit.
