SHAH ALAM - The question of whether Perikatan Nasional (PN) will create history by winning the 15th General Election (GE15) will soon be answered and the nervousness intensified as the coalition’s main leaders begin to gather at a hotel here, today.

PN chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin arrived at 9.15pm to follow the latest developments in the GE15 results.

However, the arrival of the President of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) could not be recorded by the media because he slipped into the hotel without going through the main door where the media gathered.

Before that, Bersatu deputy president Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu arrived at 8.30pm.

The earliest leader to arrive was the President of Gerakan Rakyat Malaysia (Gerakan) Datuk Dr Dominic Lau Hoe Chai.

About 100 media workers started to gather as early as 4pm to report on the latest developments in the GE15 results for the party coalition.

PN contested for 180 parliamentary seats, with 149 candidates using the PN logo, 22 Pas logos (in Kelantan and Terengganu) and nine Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP), Tanah Airku Solidarity Party (Star) and Bersatu (Sabah) logos.

As of 9.25 tonight, the unofficial results of GE15 saw Pakatan Harapan (PH) in the lead with 48 seats followed by PN with 28 seats while BN gained 17 seats.
