KUALA LUMPUR - The voters have spoken and Barisan Nasional (BN) hears their message loud and clear.

BN Chairman, Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the party had taken the 15th General Election results as a sign by the people towards the party.

"However, BN will continue to be committed to forming a stable government.

"We are willing to put aside our previous differences of sentiment," he said in a statement tonight.

He said BN wanted to see a healthy relationship forged between the states in the Peninsular, Sabah and Sarawak.

"We are willing to be the bridge to strengthen this relationship," he said.

In addition, Ahmad Zahid said, BN will provide a focus to restore the party's strength, especially when dealing with current challenges and the needs of the new generation.

As of 12 midnight, BN only won 18 Parliament seats while Pakatan Harapan had won 65, Perikatan Nasional (43), Gabungan Parti Sarawak (21) and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (3).
