KUALA LUMPUR - Umno's Datuk Dr Mohd Khairuddin Aman Razali has not ruled out the possibility of the party joining other coalitions which focus on the stability of the nation to form a government.

He said this when met at Menara Dato Onn, at the World Trade Centre, here.

"We would join coalitions which focus on ensuring the nation’s stability," he said.

Khairuddin was seen leaving the building two hours after the party's political bureau meeting.

He said his presence there was just for a visit.

“I was just visiting the officers up there,” he said.

Khairuddin had failed to defend his Kuala Nerus seat in the 15th General Election (GE15) on Saturday after being defeated by Perikatan Nasional's Datuk Dr Alias Razak.

In GE14, he won the seat under the Pas ticket with a 8,447 majority by 37,975 votes.
