KUALA LUMPUR - Perikatan Nasional (PN) claims it has a majority to form a government if including the MPs from Barisan Nasional (BN).

This would be achieved even without Pakatan Harapan (PH).

PN deputy president Datuk Seri Yong Teck Lee said the coalition had discussed on the formation of government.

"PN already finished discussing about forming a government. With the positions now, we are confident it will be done as soon as possible.

"BN under Muhyiddin's leadership already has the majority.

"There are plenty of MPs from various parties including BN. PH's position is as mentioned by Muhyiddin last night," he said here on Sunday.

Last night, Muhyiddin stressed that the coalition would not collaborate with Pakatan Harapan (PH).

When asked about Umno president Datuk Seri Zahid Hamidi involvement in BN, Yong who is also the Sabah Progressive Party president refused to comment further.

"We need to wait soon maybe there will be news," he said.

Earlier, the discussion between PN leaders was believed to have taken place at Muhyiddin's residence in the coalition's efforts to form a government.

It follows the results of the 15th General Election (GE15) where no political parties obtain a majority of 50 percent of the 219 parliamentary seats contested to form the government.
