DUNGUN - The wave of youth voters especially the 18-year old voters is believed to be the key to Perikatan Nasional (PN) Wan Hassan Mohd Ramli's large victory in Dungun in the 15th General Election (GE15).

He had successfully maintained his victory for three terms in a row with a large majority of 34,105 votes.

Wan Hassan said the victory was predicted but did not expect to achieve a large number of votes.

"We can say that we have experienced the tsunami of young voters.

"They translated their dream of electing a clean leader by voting. They placed their hopes towards the member of Parliament to fulfill their wishes," he said.

He said despite winning, it was not an easy matter because there were still responsibilities that needed to be fulfilled.

"In GE14 we won with a majority of 13,119 votes only and this time we expected to reach 20,000 votes but ended up getting more votes.

"We will ensure the best service for the people and ensure the manifesto is implemented.
