KUALA LUMPUR - The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah tells media personnel to remain patient over the political turmoil in the country.

He was greeting the media personnel who were camping outside of Istana Negara following the latest updates on the submission by political party and coalition leaders on the agreed merger of political parties post 15th General Election (GE15).

"Have a lot of patience, stay calm. The caretaker government will be functioning as usual," he told the media.

He also reminded reporters and photographers who have waited outside of the palace since as early as 8am to take care of their health before distributing food.

In a statement released by the palace today, His Majesty consented to an extension of the process by political party and coalition leaders to submit on the agreed merger of political parties to form the government.

The deadline which was supposed to be at 2pm, today, was extended to 2pm, tomorrow.

This followed a request made by some political parties, earlier today.
