KUALA LUMPUR - Pakatan Harapan (PH) Chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim arrived at his residence after attending a meeting with Barisan Nasional leaders at Seri Pacific Hotel, earlier today.

The vehicle carrying the President of the People's Justice Party (PKR) entered the compound of his private residence at 4 pm.

During a press conference shortly after the meeting, Anwar confirmed that he was the sole candidate for the Prime Minister position in joint negotiations with BN.

He said BN did not propose another name in its discussions with the coalition.

Among those seen in attendance were UMNO Secretary-General Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan; UMNO Vice President Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin and the President of Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah), Mohamad Sabu.

Anwar also said that the initial discussions with the BN leadership only touched on the importance of forming a stable government.

Anwar stressed that, there is no unreasonable requirement for BN to seek support to form a government.

Earlier, it was informed that BN MPs would send a sworn declaration (SD) regarding the formation of a new government to the President of the Dewan Rakyat, Tan Sri Azhar Azizan Harun at 2pm.
