Better be powerless than having no principle – Ismail Sabri's daughter

SHAH ALAM - Umno Vice-President Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob is believed to have refused any cooperation with Pakatan Harapan (PH), adding that he was ready to be fired over the statement.

The matter was shared by the Bera MP’s daughter, Nina Sabrina, via a post on Instagram which featured a screenshot of the conversation on the WhatsApp app.

The conversation allegedly took place on the WhatsApp group obetween Umno Division Chief Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman and Batu Division Umno Chief Datuk Yahaya Mat Ghani @ Abbas.

"Better be powerless than having no principle," Nina wrote in the same post.

Earlier, Sinar Harian reported that BN Chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said BN MPs would send a sworn declaration (SD) in support of the formation of a new government to the President of the Dewan Rakyat, Tan Sri Azhar Azizan Harun at 2pm.

In addition, Pakatan Harapan (PH) Chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim also confirmed that he was the sole candidate for the Prime Minister's negotiations with BN.

He said BN did not propose another name in its discussions with the coalition.
