Just be patient and contest in party polls - Zahid tells an angry KJ

Airing his reply on Khairy's Facebook posting -- where the latter needled on his lack of credibility to chart Umno's next move -- Zahid told Khairy to be patient as the next party elections is just around the corner.
"The posts in the party, anyone can contest for them. Be patient KJ (Khairy). Wait for the polls, it will happen less than six months.
"The entire grassroots delegates are anxious to vote for their candidate," read Zahid's reply in the comments section of Khairy's posting.
Khairy's posting was made in light of the purported hush-hush deal brockered between Zahid and Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim following the ongoing political deadlock after the 15th General Election (GE15).
The country has fallen in limbo, after no single party has secoured enough simple majority to form government with the two parties with the largest number of seats being Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Perikatan Nasional (PN).
Zahid was heavily lambasted by allies in Barisan Nasional (BN) as he was seen chummy with Anwar's entreatment for BN to support PH and form a unity government which contradicted the coalition's decision to remain neutral and support neither PH nor PN over the matter.
"The negotiations to form government can no longer include Zahid. He no longer has any credibility as Umno president and must step down immediately," wrote Khairy in the two-days ago posting on his Facebook wall.
"I am still an Umno member. And as an Umno member I have the right to voice my opionion," said Khairy who lost in the electoral bout in Sungai Buloh at the November 19 national polls.
