We met to support Anwar's leadership, not demand Cabinet post, says Hajiji

PUTRAJAYA - Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor says this is not the time to make demands from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

He said this is because Anwar needs support to lead the newly formed unity government.

"This is not the time (for Sabah to make demands). Now it is the time to support.

"I thank the the opportunity given to meet the prime minister. Our main aim was to state support of Sabah state's and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) to the prime minister," he told reporters after meeting Anwar at the Prime Minister's Departnent, here.

The meeting was held for 45 minutes from 3.15pm.

Hajiji who heads GRS further said his coalition they did not state demands for Cabinet post.

"We only sent a support letter. Did not discuss on Cabinet posts as the most crucial thing to do now was to support Anwar's leadership," Hajiji said,
