The 15th General Election brings a major shift in our democracy with the reduction of the minimum voting age being brought down to 18 from the previous 21.

This has added an additional 6.23 million new voters, which also include the newly registered voters through the Automatic Voter Registration bringing it to a total of 21.17 million eligible voters.

Will the increase in voters play a role in the upcoming election? Those previously unbothered, what could entice to participate in the country’s democratic process?
