SHAH ALAM - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is expected to meet the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah this evening to inform him on the list of deputy ministers set to be appointed for the unity government.

This was informed by sources, adding that the appointment of deputy ministers will complete government line-up under the Tambun MP.

A total of 28 cabinet members took their respective oaths of office on Dec 3.

The list of elected deputy ministers would usually be announced by the prime minister, before they take up their positions in front of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.

A source close to the discussions said the number of deputy ministers will probably be limited to one per ministry except for ministries that were consolidated.

It was understood that it takes into account Anwar's desire to have a smaller cabinet than the previous government.
