MY #QuranTime back on air

SHAH ALAM - The latest season of the Quran comprehension programme MY #QuranTime 2.0 (MQT 2.0) will return to air an hour daily starting on Dec 14, on all Sinar Harian and My #QuranTime official digital platforms.

Warisan Ummah Ikhlas Foundation (WUIF) founder Datuk Hussamuddin Yaacub said the programme, which would focus on three main elements namely 'Quran, Prayer and Infak' would be aired for 2,111 episodes.

He said the MQT programme would retain its preacher Fazrul Ismail as the reciter and Ahmad Tirmizi Ali as well as Ahmad Tarmizi Abdul Rahman as Qari while the invited review and qari would fill the review slots.

"The latest programme was implemented to improve the quality of prayer through tajwid recitation, increasing the understanding and memorisation of the Quran among others.

"Now we can dive further into it. The techniques taught by the qari and the reciter in this programme included the aspects of helping the audience to memorise the Quran.

"Imagine if many could memorise the verses in the Quran, we will see an atmosphere similar to when we go to Mecca, where Arabs would cry when they pray.

"Insya-Allah in two to five years we can see that atmosphere in Malaysia, people praying and crying when the Quran is read because they could memorise and understand the meaning it entails," he told Sinar.

Hussamuddin said the MQT broadcast this time was launched on all digital platforms of Wuif and the Karangkraf Group as an approach to attract more segments of the youth in addition to adults and new viewers.

He said it covered all social media platforms, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

He said that each approach of the digital broadcasts as well would gain the audience and the public to make it a big learning lesson that could be accessed from home.

He said MQT 2.0 also emphasises the element of infak to revive the practice of waqf in the community.

He explained the publication of the programme this time was supported 100 per cent from the waqf programme managed by Wuif, including those from the Quran Movement Fund covering the proceeds from corporate bodies and the public.

He said that the entire publication of MQT 2.0 also involved the physical presence of the participants that would be carried out in the Karangkraf Studio Complex, Section 15, here.

"These donors who have been giving RM1 or RM 2 could see the results of their donations and receive blessings from the waqf. This represented a live Waqf. As long as the programme exists, all the good deeds flow back to them.

"Imagine the results from their waqf could give major benefits for contributors and the ummah watching it," he explained.
