Covid-19: 1,315 new cases, five deaths

SHAH ALAM - Malaysia records a total of 1,315 new cases of Covid-19 on Saturday with one of them being an imported case making the total number of active cases 19,177.

According to the KKMNOW portal, 93.1 per cent or 17,860 cases were individuals quarantined at home while none were treated in the Covid-19 Quarantine and Treatment Centre (PKRC).

The data also stated that a total of 1,244 Covid-19 cases received hospital treatment with 73 of them admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU).

Meanwhile, the number of recovered cases recorded on Saturday was 2,601, making the cumulative number of recoveries to 4,953,837.

At the same time, the country also recorded five latest deaths, one of which was brought-in-dead (BID), bringing the total number of deaths to 36,753 since the pandemic began.
