SUNGAI BULOH - The camping activity at Father's Organic Farm, Jalan Genting-Goh Tong, Batang Kali, was not an official program organised by SJKC Mun Choong, Kuala Lumpur.

The Education Minister, Fadhlina Sidek clarified that it was likely an activity outside school which involved their own family, teachers and friends.

"This was no recommendation from the school or the ministry. There is no direct connection.

"This means it was indeed a trip planned on their own," she added.

"We are still in the midst of getting the exact facts regarding their activities at that place," she said during a press conference on Friday.

In the meantime, she also described the tragedy befallen the victim's family and relatives as heartbreaking.

She requested for the media to give them space and time to calm down, she added.

"I'm also little emotional looking at them and feeling their grief," she added.

On Friday, Sinar Harian reported the fire and rescue department estimated around 100 victims were feared trapped in a landslide at a camping site near Father's Organic Farm.
