BATANG KALI - The search and rescue (SAR) operation to look for the remaining 12 victims at the campsite which was hit by a landslide resumes this morning at 7am.

Police on Friday said they had halted SAR operations at 9.45pm due to unfavourable weather, the team resumes their search today.

Media personnel were also gathered at the ill fated campsite, Father's Organic Farm at around 8am. The death toll currently stands at 21, and a total of 61 victims have been rescued.

Among those involved in the SAR were K9 tracker dog units, the Emergency Medical Rescue Service from the Sentosa, Ampang, Pandan, Kota Anggerik, Kajang dan Andalas Fire and Rescue stations, as well as the Special Tactical Operation and Rescue Team.

SAR efforts have been split into three zones - Sector A Hill View, Sector B, Farm View, and Sector C Riverside, with focus now given to Sector A and Sector B.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had announced a RM 10,000 for the next-of-kin of the deceased and RM1,000 for other victims.
