SHAH ALAM - TnG PayDirect and RFID payment systems at all Duke and Setiawangsa Pantai Expressway (SPE) toll plazas are currently disrupted.

On its official Facebook page, the Duke (Duta-Ulu Klang) Highway management informed motorists that the Touch 'n Go PayDirect & RFID payment systems at all Duke & SPE toll plazas are temporarily suspended and only Touch 'n Go cards can be used.

"Motorists are advised to make sure their Touch n' Go card balance is sufficient or to top up their cards before taking a trip," the announcement read.

The announcement irked many motorists who left annoyed and angry comments on the page.

An exasperated Harlina Zain wrote " What is wrong with Duke toll plaza" while Terrence Tai sarcastically wrote, "More than thousands of car stuck in front of the Duke toll plaze, I feel so proud of Duke making everyone practice their patience and not giving any alternative solutions." Fitri Ahnaf complained, "I have been stuck for half and hour at the Duke toll in Gombak, my balance in my card is apparently insufficient when there's enough in my ewallet. The toll girl told me to borrow a card from driver behind me.

"What kind of service is this? No wiser solution?" he wrote.

Other comments were full of motorists suggesting that the management for Duke highway just let drivers pass the toll for free for the day.

Several hours late Duke and SPE updated that the 'fibre optic cable' in the infrastructure of their communication line provider (TM) near the highway had been vadalised.
