Landslide: Body of a little girl recovered, death tolls rises to 24

This was confirmed by Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said the body was found in sector A (Hill View).
“As of now, we have found the 24th victim of the tragic landslide. She was recovered at Sector A (Hill View).We will be sending her body for postmortem at Hospital Sungai Buloh.
“We also hope the search and rescue (SAR) operations could continue in a fast manner ,” he said to the reporters when met at the site of Batang Kali landslide.
Acryl also informed that he handed over the full authority for Selangor Fire and Rescue Department to conduct any investigations relating to the landslide incident.
He also urged the authorities at the site to update the media on the SAR mission from time to time.
“I hope the media gets the information from time to time since they are the people's eyes and ears on the incident. They are bringing latest updates to the public,” he added.
Earlier today, the SAR team had recovered two bodies, believed to be a mother and her child. Only three bodies were recovered from the landslide tragedy today.
