Taman Kajang Perdana small-scale landslide worries residents

KAJANG - The tragedy at Father's Organic Farm, Jalan Genting, Batang Kali on Friday that claimed 24 lives so far has made the public more aware of landslides.

On Saturday, a Twitter user shared a landslide incident at Taman Kajang Perdana which allegedly happened on Nov 17.

The Twitter user extended the matter to the attention of Bangi MP Syahredzan Johan.

"Please help if you can check the hill in Taman Kajang Perdana.. there was a small landslide that happened on November 17, 2022 @syahredzan," he said through the tweet.

The post received feedback from social media users who left comments.

A user @wawancarasemasa hoped that more people would be aware of landslide incidents and report them to the relevant agencies to avoid greater damage.

"Hopefully, more people are concerned, report early and hope the authorities can act immediately," he wrote.

In addition, Syahredzan also left a comment asking about the location of the landslide.

Syahredzan when contacted by Sinar Harian informed that his team was aware of the issue and were in the midst of gathering information for further action.

"I received the complaint from Twitter yesterday and am gathering information, but have not been to the location yet.

"This matter is not under Parliament, but there are agencies involved. The fire department is busy with the landslide in Jalan Batang Kali.. I will come over later, I will have a look," he said briefly.
