SHAH ALAM - Former Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu expresses confidence in his successor, Hannah Yeoh, but hopes that she does not bite off more than she can chew.

Speaking at Sinar Daily’s Footy Forum: The Finale, the former Tambun MP also advised her not to meddle in things she’s not well-versed with.

“We believe in you and you have the responsibility now, and I hope you don't meddle too much in things that you are not familiar with.

“I'm a fan but I'm not well versed in the technical part of football. I just cheer for our team but I give all the support I can give but I didn't meddle with the organisation,” he said.

Ahmad Faizal said in regards to the National Football Development Programme (NFDP) that it was doing well during his administration.

He claimed that he did what he could to enhance the programme's performances.

Ahmad Faizal also mentioned about the former technical director of NFDP, Saad Ichalalene who had to leave, despite coming from the Paris Saint-Germain Academy (PSG).

Though it was political, Ahmad Faizal said he didn’t touch anything there at the organisation as it was doing well.
