KUALA LUMPUR - Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan (PN-Kota Bharu) demands an explanation from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim regarding the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to form a coalition on Dec 16.

The MoU, he claimed, was an unconstitutional agreement.

“In my opinion, this document is an unconstitutional agreement, it went against the constitution which lacked three demands in it.

“First, is the freedom of speech that was against this agreement.

“Second, no one has the say in the proceeding in the position

“Hence, if there are any members of the coalition or party that used to sign but are not in line with the government, they will be sacked from their position as the MP.

“This went against the rules in the Federal Constitution,” he said.

Takiyuddin further added that his claim was supported by the Bar Council; which he said was something that was contradictory with the MoU.
