Students to receive early schooling aid of RM150 - PM

KUALA LUMPUR - The unity government has agreed to distribute the early schooling aid of RM150 to all students starting January.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the aid involved all students regardless of their parent's income.
"With the issue of the lost generation following the recent pandemic, it is important to prepare children with appropriate school supplies.
"In addition to the expenditure requirements for the Supplementary Food Plan (RMT) and the purchase of textbooks, the government agreed to channel the early schooling aid of RM150," he said.
He said this while tabling the Consolidated Fund (Expenditure on Account) Bill 2022 at the Dewan Rakyat on Tuesday.
