Landslide: IGP visits Norazam at hospital

GOMBAK - Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani today visits Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) director Datuk Norazam Khamis at the Selayang Hospital, here, on Tuesday.

The police in a Facebook post said that Acryl along with several senior police officers visited Norazam after he suffered a stroke on Monday.

"Norazam was rushed to the hospital at about 6pm yesterday because he suffered a mild stroke and was exhausted.

"He was involved in the search and rescue (Sar) operations since the beginning of the landslide incident at a campsite near Father's Organic Farm in Hulu Selangor last Friday," the post said on Tuesday.

Sinar on Monday reported that Norazam was rushed to the Selayang hospital after he was believed to have a mild stroke due to fatigue.

He was reported to be in a good and stable condition after being treated at the Selayang Hospital.

Norazam had been at the site of the landslide tragedy at Father's Organic Farm, Batang Kali where a total of 61 people survived, 24 victims were confirmed dead and nine were still missing.

The search and rescue efforts for the remaining nine victims entered its fifth day on Tuesday however, it continued to be deadlocked as no new leads were found as of 11.30am.
