SHAH ALAM - Transport Minister Anthony Loke performs a surprise inspection at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) 2 before the Fixed Fare Midnight Flight launching ceremony organised by AirAsia this morning.

Loke, on his Facebook page said the inspection was made to see the condition of the public transport hub on level 1, KLIA 2 after he received feedback from the public.

"This morning, before I approved the fixed fare midnight flights in Red Q, AirAsia, I made a spot-check at KLIA 2.

"My purpose this morning was to see the condition of the public transport hub at Level 1, KLIA 2 after receiving some feedback from the public," he said.

Loke said there were several main weaknesses in the e-hailing waiting area that needs to be improved.

"One lane is uneven due to soil deposits, which can be dangerous for users and the lighting system will be improved to improve the situation at night," he said.

Loke said the management had appointed a contractor and the upgrade works would be carried out at the end of January.

"I invite all stakeholders to always place efforts in improving the facilities and improve the user experience at our airport," he said.
