KOTA BHARU - The presence of five imports from Brazil and Senegal is expected to strengthen the Kelantan United (KUFC) squad’s campaign in the super league next season.

KUFC executive director Anas Karimi Ahmad Thani said all the imports who are below the age of 30, are new faces in the M-League, and they will play in the attack, midfield and defence.

"The five import players whom we have signed have not played for any teams in the country. We have evaluated the players not just based on the number of minutes or games that they played but we have reviewed their injury record and style of play before deciding.

"All five players are expected to start their training session with the squad next week," he told Bernama when contacted, here today.

Anas Karimi also assured that every import player who plays for KUFC will not be mere passengers or just warm the seats but will give their best performance to retain their spots in the team and excel in the league - BERNAMA
