KOTA KINABALU - Istana Seri Kinabalu has put up canopies for media practitioners who are 'camping out' in front of the palace to cover latest political unrest in Sabah.

Reporters and camaremen have been out in rain and shine to cover movements of politicians after Sabah Umno's Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin announced that Barisan Nasional (BN) were withdrawing support for Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor as Sabah Chief Minister.

In addition, the palace also provided food and drinks to the media.

Hajiji was seen entering the palace to meet Sabah President Tun Juhar Mahiruddin. The meeting lasted almost an hour before he was seen leaving at 5.13pm.

Hajiji waved before leaving the palace.

Meanwhile, in the same development, it is understood that a special meeting between Bersatu Sabah and with Bersatu's secretary general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin will be held today.

The meeting is expected to take place at a hotel here at 12 noon. Hamzah is expected to give a press statement after the meeting.
