PH, BN have yet to discuss cooperation to face state election - Anthony Loke

SEREMBAN - DAP secretary general Anthony Loke denies claims that Pakatan Harapan (PH) is facing difficulties in making a decision on the cooperation with Barisan Nasional (BN) to face this year's state election.

He said political discussions between both parties will be held when the time comes.

"When the time comes, a decision will be made. There is indeed a process for us to discuss and negotiate.

"But so far we are focusing on the government administration because it has only been established for over a month and so far it is running smoothly," he said.

He said this during a press conference after attending the Negeri Sembilan Young Talent Competition at a supermarket here on Sunday.

The Seremban MP said the few months time before the state election was sufficient enough for them to have a negotiation since each of them were well-experienced.

"Sometimes it's not a difficult matter. But in politics, time is important and when it's time to make a decision, it's up to each individual's political considerations.

"After all, we have already formed a government and sat in the cabinet. If you say it is difficult, within five days after the 15th General Election (GE15) we have completed negotiations and have established a government with the Prime Minister taking the oath on Nov 24," he said.

He said there was no issue of not having enough time to hold negotiations and even if the State Legislative Assembly was dissolved, there would still be room for negotiation as long as no election was held.
