KOTA KINABALU - A cabinet reshuffle was necessary to strengthen the current state government, said Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, adding that he needed a strong team to realise the purpose.

"Conscious of the need to form an inclusive administration, I have included members of the State Assembly from Pakatan Harapan (PH), Umno-BN and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) in the cabinet.

"It is important for the state government under my leadership to function as a united team, sharing the same aspirations built on trust and mutual respect," he said in a statement on Wednesday.

Hajiji said the state government is determined to be led by those who value the need to ensure that development and progress of the state runs smoothly and uninterrupted. Political stability is essential to achieve this goal.

"Together with a strong team, we will ensure the state government's dynamic investment, thereby increasing investor confidence while also attracting more investors. We need to ensure that the momentum of our development continues forward and that we can fulfill our election promises to the people and the state," he stressed.
