Puad appointed as Umno's permanent deputy chairman

KUALA LUMPUR - Umno today approves the motion to appoint Datuk Dr Mohd Puad Zarkashi as the party’s permanent deputy chairman effective immediately.

The proposition presented by Umno secretary-general Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan was approved unanimously during the 2022 Umno General Assembly (PAU) at the Kuala Lumpur World Trade Centre (WTCKL) here today.

The appointment of Puad, who is also a member of Umno Supreme Working Council (MKT), was made to replace Datuk Seri Rizuan Abd Hamid, former Kepong division chief who died on May 20 last year due to Covid-19.
