PUTRAJAYA - Putrajaya introduces free swimming classes for its constituents, called the PutraRenang.

Its member of parliament Datuk Dr Mohd Radzi Jidin said the intiative which is targeted for children aged seven to 12, was implemented through the Putrajaya Children's Academy.

"We hope that through this program, we can increase children's awareness of water safety, on top of teaching them basic swimming skills," he said on his Facebook page today.

Participants will be taught in a safe environment when undertaking water activities, Mohd Radzi assured.

"Being knowledgeable of correct swimming technique is also one aspect of water safety," he explained.

Mohd Radzi said basic knowledge of water safety is very important since Putrajaya is famous for various water sports and activities.

"Parents who are interested in registering their children for this class can visit the official website at https://tinyurl.com/kelasrenangDRJ.

"Information about the training schedule, place, and time is also shared on the website," he said.
