SHAH ALAM - Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim decided to be accompanied by a furry friend named Miki in his Chinese New Year message ahead of the festivities this Sunday.

“As an independent and mature country, it is time for people of all races to be empowered in our beloved Malaysia.

“In that regard, let us all celebrate together the festival that is important to the Chinese community.

“Gong Xi Fa Cai, Happy New Year, Xin Nian Hao,” he said in the video while cuddling the rabbit.

In 45 second video, Anwar appeared with a white fluffy rabbit and called on Malaysians to continue empowering one another in the spirit of unity.
