Bersatu expecting to rope in more credible and younger talents

SHAH ALAM - Bersatu Youth Chief Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal hopes to rope in and attract younger talented leaders to the party.

"With the general assembly happening soon, we are expecting more credible and younger talents to join the party.

"We also want more of the younger leaders to hold more senior positions in the party so that Bersatu can continue to strengthen the party with new ideas and more progressive approaches ," he said to Sinar Daily.

When asked on what are the topics that will be discussed in the upcoming Bersatu general assembly, Fayhsal said some of the highlights would be building capacity and strengthening the party

"Bersatu is a young party, its about building our capacity, consolidating our support among the people, strengthening the insitutions within the party itself.

"My duty as the Bersatu Youth Chief is to strengthen the youth wing and we are proud to have four assemblyman, two parliamentarians and two state assemblyman as a result from the recent general election.

"It is still early to share on what will be discussed but probably it will be more on how to forge ahead as a stronger party and also perhaps preparing ourselves as a strong opposition that shadows the current government," he told Sinar Daily

The 2022 Bersatu annual general assembly will be held from March 3 to 5.

Its secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin said the annual meetings for branches will be held from July 1 to Aug 30, divisional wings (Oct 7) divisionals meetings (Oct 21).
