Superbikers from Singapore almost swept away by floods

MERSING - A group of superbikers from Singapore were almost swept away by floods in Jalan Nitar, Mersing.

A viral 27-second viral clip was uploaded displaying several individuals saving a superbike and were almost swept away from strong current.

Mersing District Police chief Superintendent Abdul Razak Abdullah Sani said the convoy were travelling from Mersing, Johor to Kuantan, Pahang.

He said no police reports were lodged on the incident.

“The convoy of six superbikers came from Mersing to Kluang. When they arrived at the scene, one of the bikes stopped functioning.

“The convoy was then aided by the army in charge of flood duties at Kampung Jamari, Mersing.

“There were no injuries or fatalities recorded. The convoy continued their journey with the aid of a tow truck,” he said when contacted by Sinar on Wednesday.
