RM2 just for warm water? Business licence will not be renewed, say PD authorities

MPPD president Mohd Zamri Mohd Esa said the action was taken following complaints from public.
“We will give the vendors until March to empty their stores and we are forced to take action because the store has gone viral several times.
“It disturbs other businesses and gives a negative image towards the food court. Maybe they can do business elsewhere,” he told Sinar today.
He said the cost of living has gone up after a hike in price of raw ingredient, however, they should not use it as an excuse to increase prices unreasonably.
“When stories like this emerge it creates a negative perception on other food vendors in Port Dickson.
“It only happens to small portion of vendors and through my observation the food prices in Port Dickson are still reasonable,” he said.
Sinar previously reported an eatery charging RM2 for warm water and RM1 for plain water.
The receipt was shared by a customer and posted on his Facebook on Tuesday.
The bill uploaded totaled to RM102 after the cost of food and drinks were included and advised the public to be cautious while ordering food stalls in Port Dickson.
