This is not the end, but a time for new beginnings - Hishammuddin

SHAH ALAM - This is not the end, but merely a beginning said Sembrong member of parliament, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein in response to his suspension from Umno for six years.

In a 50 second video uploaded to his Facebook account, Hishamuddin stressed that his suspension from Umno was not the end of his political career but more to a new beginning for him to continue his efforts towards nation building. Hishammuddin who is also the party's former vice president said what had happened has only strengthened his resolve to continue to work for the good of the nation and its people.

" As for my next move, I will have to discuss with the Umno Sembrong leadership as to what will be my next plans," he said in the video.

He also thanked those who had contacted him and left words of encouragement.

Earlier he had wrote on his Instagram account that Umno's act of sacking and suspending several of its leaders should not blind one from the "good".

"Their evil must not make us lose our good," he had wrote.

His remarks came following the party's supreme council decision to suspend him and sack Former Umno Youth Chief Khairy Jamaluddin and former Selangor Umno liaison committee chairman Tan Sri Noh Omar Umno had also suspended former Umno information chief Shahril Sufian Hamdan, Tebrau Umno division chief Datuk Maulizan Bujang and Jempol Umno division chief Datuk Seri Mohd Salim Shariff from the party for six years.
